Ok, I'm really sorry to the five people that occasionally stop by here. I haven't posted in MONTHS but I have decided to give this another go. An honest attempt this time! The reason that I have been gone is I've had a baby!

Sirius was born April 24th 2009! (My grandmother's birthday) He was 7.5 Lbs and 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing amazing style. Breastfeeding is going spectacular after a rough start. Pumping at work is crappy, but happening!

On my quest to find the money to be a SAHM I have discovered ChaCha! It is a way that I can make a good bit of extra money while being at home with my soon to be son! Stay at Home Mom!? Me?

I've been really thinking hard about trying to become a stay at home mom. (SAHM) With the baby due in 83 days I'm starting to feel very maternal! Pregnancy hormones can even turn a hard-ass like me into a loving mother.

I'm learning and watching what other moms do to enable them to stay at home. I have a few survey places on my radar, I have Cashcrate that I've been giving a try, but its been going slowly. I've also started on InboxDollars Which is going a lot better for me. The search engines like Irazoo and Swagbucks. I've also been signed up for a mystery shop site for a looong time, I have just never found one that I wanted to do. I should probably start taking things that I am eligible for.

I've still got a lot to figure out. I am very proud that I have got my food storage back on its feet, and stayed on budget doing it!

I frequent a few blogs they mostly post about freebies and sales a lot of them post about grocery stores that I don't have access to like Publix or Safeway. I've been thinking about starting something local for the mamas in the area. I wouldn't do too much work on CVS or Walgreens.

I'm still formulating my thoughts on this. I will have to get a little better at all this before I start making any plans!

Ha! Look at those beauties! I can't believe people would want to read the sillyness that I write while I stuff my face in front of the TV. Yes, I too stuff my face and watch TV. Greatness doesn't restrict my face stuffing.

Ok, on to the real reason that I popped over here.

I totally just got a $5 gift card to Amazon.com, for working. Hahahaha. Yes, it's true! I do a lot of searching for my job. Mostly looking for prices, pictures and discriptions of games. Any who, with Swagbucks they give you points or 'bucks' randomly when you search, so naturally, I accumlated 45 points in no time! Now, I just have to decide on something that I want! J said that I wasn't allowed to buy anything for him or the house or the baby, I had to spend it on myself. This is going to be rough.

Trying to be thrifty!

So, I wondered off of Diaperswapper.com's FFS thread and wondered into the Thrifty family thread. It is the single most wonderful place I have seen in forever! They have turned me on to Angel Food an orginization that provides boxed frozen and fresh foods at a HUGE discount. They have shown me how to utilize the internet, coupons, and CVS's rewards program to build my foodstorage! They have also motivated me to keep better track of what we spend and on what. J and I work way too hard to waste our money!

So I was surfing MDC like I frequently do, and another member mentioned 'Miracle Diaper'. I thought to myseld "what? I've been researching cloth diapers for over 18 months and I've never heard of them! I've heard of Gdiapers, bummis, bumGenius, Happy Hineys WAHM Dipes, Flats, prefolds, fitteds, snappis, I've probably heard about it all!"

Anyways, I checked it out and it turns out that this selfless group of women donates their time and love to distributing diapers to the needy babies of the world! I think I cried a little, my 'N' key now sticks because it got a bit wet. I've been really concerned with what we were going to do when Sirius outgrew his NB diapers. I figured that I would just make do and re sew them together to make bigger dipes. I know I would be willing to EC but would DH? I know he's not overly comfortable with infants anyways, and he wasn't great about knowing when the dogs needed to go out until they were able to ring the bell on the door!

So I signed up. Hopefully I will be eligible. After fixing the car and fixing the heater, twice, I could really use a some good fortune. I guess I have one thing to be happy about, I got a raise! Along with the rest of Ohio when minimum wage went up Jan 1st.

DH and I know the gender! I'm going to wait until I see family to spill the beans. I have pictures that I want to show them. It was really cool to see all of the parts, hands and feet. The tech spent a lot of time looking at his heart, but I imagine that's normal. I have heard of lots of heart defects, there would want to know about so we could plan for surgery. All is well in there however! I think I'm done writing for now before I inadvertently slip up and say the gender!

I think I am really starting to see something. Other then just looking fat! J said today that he was getting exighted because I was starting to show. He even got on the ground level with my belly so he could look it it. It was very sweet, he will make an awesome Dad. I had another dream about nursing a baby girl (and cloth diapering her!) It was very scattered and stressful, we were staying in a hotel and having the baby was unexpected and my milk hadn't really come in. I do like having dreams about the baby. I need to learn to enjoy the dreams more only, 160 days to go! I'm almost half way!

First trimesters are for the BIRDS!

I am so glad that this fetus has decided that it can make it's own hormones now. After 12 weeks of throwing up, feeling like death, and only wanting to eat nacho cheese and fried chicken. I have been back to normal and am very grateful! I still don't have a baby belly yet :( that makes me sad. Maybe by new years I will have something! I also haven't really felt any one moving around. We go in the 18th for our 20 wk ultrasound. Hopefully we will see our jumping bean then!

So I've decided to give this things a go. There are a lot of other blogs that I like to read on occasion. Interesting people that I have met along the way and such. Most of them are from MDC but thats Ok, it's really the only "parenting" message board that I have found that I am drawn back to. I have tried out Baby Center, It wasn't my style. Lots of knocked up 17 year olds and wayy too much "babydaddy" drama. I have high hopes for this blog, for you see, I am prego. Thats right, a bun inthe oven after a full year of trying! Hopefully, being pregs will give me plenty to talk about! If nothing else this blog should offer some humor, for I am firey whilst prego!
